A Brown Deer DECA Christmas
(1/1/06)

Again this past holiday season, Brown Deer DECA “adopted” four area families for Christmas. From mid-November to mid-December, the four marketing classes donated money, food, personal care items, and time in order to assist others.

The Milwaukee Rescue Mission provided names of three needy families. In addition, DECA was made aware of a Brown Deer family in need and was pleased to be able to assist “one of our own” in this year's drive.

In all, over $1,700 was raised that was used to purchase gifts, provide Christmas trees, tree stands, lights, and a Christmas ham for each family. On Saturday December 17th , chapter members and parents, along with Mr. Green and Mr. Sadowski, made the deliveries.
